How Many Amps Are Required for a Ductless Mini Split System

There are many factors that go into the installation of an air conditioning system, and a ductless mini-split system is no exception! If you’re considering adding this as a cooling–and heating–option, then this blog post is for you!

One of the factors included in ductless mini split installation is how much amp is required for it. This is the unit used for measuring electricity, or how fast electric current flows. The higher the voltage, the lower amps are needed, but how many amps are actually required for a ductless system?

This will actually vary, based on how many British thermal units, BTUs, the system uses–usually 15-45 amps per mini-split is needed.
